Steve Wheeler

Guitar, Vocals

Steve Wheeler is a Guitarist, Vocalist, producer and composer. He is one of the founding members of Rock-it-Science. Steve has written most of the originals the band currently performs. He started playing live gigs at the age of 14 at local high schools and Jr. High school dances. Steve took lessons for about a year, and then decided it was faster to listen to the music he loved and figure it out for himself. He put himself through College playing gigs all over Upstate NY and New England in bands that opened for a number of national touring acts like the James Montgomery Blues Band and Papa John Creech. Steve’s influences include Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Santana, Duane Allman, Lowell George, and many other great players in the rock, blues and jazz genres. His wide love of many types of music has enabled him to develop a unique style that mixes and shifts from blues to funk and rock & roll.
